A word from our President:
Thank you
for viewing our website.
All Pro Legal Investigations, PA and All Protection & Security would
like to be your Investigative and Security Partner. We know there are many, many Private Investigation companies in
Florida, and many of those companies make some pretty wild claims. With this post, I hope to present the facts about
our company and, at the same time, help you make an informed decision when selecting a Private Investigations Agency.
I hope you will carefully review the information presented below, and to the right, then request identical information from
any company or individual with whom you plan to do business.
LICENSING
I
strongly suggest that anyone considering the services of a Private Investigation or Private Security Agency in Florida,
should do some basic investigation of their own. Did you know that you can check the status of a Florida PI license
on the web? You can - the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services maintains a website where information
is kept on every Licensed Private Investigation Company in Florida. They also keep information on every Licensed Private
Security Company in Florida. You can
CLICK HERE to confirm that a company holds a Florida PI Agency license. Click
HERE to confirm that an individual holds a personal PI license. Click

PI Agency License on the FDACS website. Click

CREDIBILITY
A
slick website, fancy marketing material - or even a PI license - provides no indication of an Investigator's training, experience
or Professional reputation. Our office receives calls every day from heartbroken potential clients who, based on price
alone, trusted their important video surveillance, child custody or non-compete investigation to an Investigator whose website
happened to show up on the first page of Google. These potential clients were bitterly disappointed (and some were financially
drained) when they learned that the "Investigator" they hired had just recently obtained their Florida PI license
as a result of having been an "intern" with another agency. Often, clients are shocked to learn that the "Investigator"
with the slick website and fancy brochure has no experience in any aspect of investigations; they simply got a "buddy"
to sponsor them for licensure as a Florida PI. You can usually identify these inexperienced individuals by the unbelievably
low prices they quote. A word to the wise: It is unrealistic to expect credible, reliable results from an individual
offering their professional services at half the rate of their competitors. At the same time, paying a lot of money is no
indication of quality.
QUALITY
Potential clients shopping for a Private
Investigator have the right to request a copy of that Investigator's "work product" before committing to a contract
for services. Ask to see a sanitized version of a written investigations or surveillance report, that was produced as
a result of the type of Investigation you seek. Then, show that report to your attorney! If the Investigator has
no sample report, they have probably never conducted an Investigation of that type.
At the
same time, we will happily provide a sample of our written report to your attorney for product-product comparison. I
am confident that our reports alone will demonstrate the quality of our investigation and the experience of our Investigators.
For additional info, you may wish to click the blue button to the right and visit our LinkedIn
page. There you will find several professional references and get a good feel for who we are as a company.
INSURANCE
You may be shocked to learn: Florida does not require Private Investigation
agencies to carry E&O, auto or General Liability insurance! For your peace of mind, I have posted our current Certificate
of Insurance (specimen) showing our limits of liability and coverage, including our auto coverage. You can ask your
attorney to explain your personal liability position, should your uninsured "Investigator" cause a car accident
while conducting mobile surveillance (following someone) at your request... OR, you can simply hire a professional agency
with proper, adequate insurance.
PROFESSIONAL REPUTATION
At All Pro Legal Investigations, PA, we don't hire anyone whose experience, knowledge,
skills and abilities we don't respect. We don't expect our clients to do that either, which is why I'm sharing this
bit of personal info:
At the risk of sounding immodest, I have been a very successful Licensed
Private Investigator in Florida for almost 20 years. I have handled many complex, multiple-subject criminal investigations
as well as simple surveillance. As an Operations Manager for a world-wide insurance defense investigations agency, I
conducted, supervised and managed literally thousands of Investigations in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma,
Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, New York, Maine, Costa Rica, The Bahamas and Puerto
Rico.
I have been a private security consultant and personal protection specialist since
1986, when I ended my career with the United States Government. I am a member of the US Diplomatic Security Service,
Overseas Security Advisory Council and have managed security for the interests of a legacy US Airline in France, during the
riots of 2004 and 2005. At present, I personally oversee our security operations in Haiti, Florida and Kentucky.
I
believe training and experience make a huge difference in the outcome of a case. That's why, in 1999, before offering
Private Legal Support Services in Florida, I enrolled in a 40 clock hour, 3 College-credit course taught by a practicing Attorney,
in order to learn as much as possible Process Serving. My competitors receive 8 hours training offered by their local
Sheriff.
I am hoping that personal character, responsible management and professional experience matter as
much to you, as they do to me. If so, we look forward to doing business with you!
Respectfully,
Donna
Smith
